Hello Purple!

So, I bleached my hair for the first time on my own and it turned out ok! I want to bleach it one more time to get it a little lighter, but I've got Manic Panic's 'Violet Night' dye in it for now - and I love it!
It's pretty nifty :) I'm going to use a much more diluted amount as a toner next time I bleach.
Can't wait to see how it turns out! (And I hope my hair doesn't fall out...)

Playing with colour

I decided to give Manic Panic hair dye a try, I've been wanting to use it for so long but I didn't want to bleach my hair. So I decided to try it over dark hair, and it worked surprisingly well! I used Manic Panic in Purple Haze.
But, to be honest, it washed out super fast! I was pretty disappointed...It was gone within a week, and I only washed my hair about 3 times during that week!
I think if I'd washed my hair with colder water and a more natural shampoo it might have helped. But seriously $25 for a week's worth of colour? I'm glad I did it, but it's pricey!!!
I'm going to try Midnight Blue next time I think :) I think blue might be the way to go for me, because my roots have absolutely no red in them, so the purple was showing up super blue through the top! I dye my hair red/purple normally, because I love having warm coloured hair, versus my weird blue-brown colour haha.

I'm kinda glad I did this though, it was fin having purple hair, even if it was just for a week! I'm glad I didn't bleach it too, my hair is so dry to start with.

Anyone know a different brand of dye that lasts longer?

I'd really love to do more of these shoots, it was so much fun and I'm pretty happy with how the photos turned out :)

 

Messing around with Adobe Lightroom 5

 

I mentioned a little while ago that I was thinking of buying Adobe Lightroom 5. Well I haven't bought it yet, I've downloaded the demo just to see what it's all about. So far, I'm in love with it! It's exactly what I want. I'm definitely going to invest once my 30 day demo is up.

Anyone else out there use Lightroom??

(Oh, and doesn't that first photo remind you a bit of Elsa from Frozen? Or is it just me who's seen all the kids movies. Haha)

I'm on the Redbubble wagon!

Baby Bunnies!!

We just got back from a holiday in Port Lincoln, while we were there we went out to Glen Forest Tourism Farm, it was beautiful! They had a lot of animals other than bunnies, and believe me I took plenty of photos of them, but I have to admit that these bunnies were my favourite thing!! I could've lived there with them, they were extremely squishable! The youngest baby bunnies were 2 weeks old :) they were little balls of squishy fluff!!

I'm determined to get some baby bunnies for us now! They'll be a great addition to our little menagerie!
